Happy Birthday Max!!!

Max is two today!!

Oh, how we love this little guy. He is such a boy, destroyer of everything in his path, and if it makes noise getting it out of his way, even better :)

26 pounds

12 teeth

Takes one 2-3 hour nap a day

Favorite toy - balls

Favorite food - macaroni & cheese

Favorite activity - unloading the toy bin

Likes to pull hair & bite on occasion

Loves cuddles & kisses

Loves Signing Time DVDs (but doesn't really sign yet) & Nursery Rhyme videos

Is ADORED by his sister

Is shy at times, but very social

Is officially a full-time walker

Drinks from a bottle, sippy cup and straw

HATES having his diaper changed and his hair cut

We love you, Max!

A Sign?

Max started doing this the other day in his highchair during lunch. I have no idea what he was really doing, probably just being silly. But he loved it when I mimicked him and he did it over and over. And since it is the sign for 'baby', when we mimic him, we ask him "Where's your baby?"

He thinks it's so funny.

And since the only other sign he does (well, did) is 'doggy' (he hasn't done it since the dog died), we'll pretend he knows what it means...

He loves splashing, too!

Five Dollar Find

Piper is constantly asking to put up our big family tent in the living room, which leaves little room for even walking around the thing. So we went to the DI (thrift store) and found this on Saturday.

Needless to say, it's a big hit.

{And, it fits on top of her bed, if she'd ever sleep there.}

One Antelope...

is all we saw Wednesday at Antelope Island. But we did see several buffalo and some seagulls. Such varied terrain in Utah.

Yep - here's that one antelope. We actually saw it twice. Once on the drive south and again heading back north!

And the Great Salt Lake beach.

I forgot Max's shoes, but he didn't seem to mind walking around in his socks - the sand was dry.

Yep - he fell in.

I figured it would happen. Extra clothes were in the car.

Driving Around

Max fell asleep on the way home from therapy Tuesday. So Piper and I decided to just keep driving. She wanted to drive to Silver Lake. It was snowing in the mountains, but she didn't care. She wanted to go for a hike. Little did she know the snow was a little too deep for hiking. But we saw some interesting sights along the way.

And this little chalet (I think they had a plowed back entrance).

The sun finally came out when we got back into the valley.

And earlier in the week, we drove down to have dinner with our cousins. Zoe showing us her mad trampoline skills.

Maggie has to eat alone at the counter ;(
