Christmas Eve

Pre-Christmas Eve. This is when I first put the tree up. Max immediately started taking all the ornaments off. Most of the ornaments are/were wooden. I found chewed up pieces of them all over the house. Not sure if the dog or the Max was the culprit. Probably both ;)

Annual Christmas Eve jammies!

Max helped me unwrap mine, and then decided that he needed to wear them as a hat.

Max's Brothers!

Max's brothers are in town this week skiing with their family (they were both adopted by the same awesome family), so we got to hang out with them for a bit tonight!!! They are so sweet, and just love Max to pieces. This was only our second time meeting them. These memories are priceless!

Happy Birthday, Piper!

So Piper turned 9 this year. After a great debate, she decided to have a LEGo Friends party. It turned out great. They made LEGO inspired crafts including jewelry and a picture frame.

Zoo Lights

Piper and I spent the evening at the zoo. It's an annual holiday tradition, but we didn't go last year for some reason. There seamed to be a lot more lights this year with the addition of some of the new exhibits. Steve and Max opted out since Max has a cold again (thanks to the kiddo with the snotty nose who sits next to him at school - both parents work, so they send him sick, a lot - ugh).

For some reason, Piper wanted to dress up as some youtube video minecraft guy, Dan TDM... Yeah, I don't get it either. But I figure it's not hurting anyone, right? She carried this box head around the whole night!

We stopped to do a quick spin art project along the way.

This was about the only animal that was still awake...

The bridge was made into a tunnel of flashing lights. It was very cool!

What's for Breakfast?

Two iPads playing the musical credits at the end of the Cars 2 movie, while Peppa Pig is playing on the tv. This is how we roll. Never too many electronics ;)

The Lights at Temple Square

It was such a nice night - 60 degrees!!! So I took the camera out for a spin. Piper and her cousin, Kai, came along too ;)

I only brought one lens - lots of spires, not so many full shots. If the weather holds, I may have to go back... and read more of my camera manual.

Not intended, but still pretty cool - it's raining lights!

There were some really great luminaries...

By the time I got the camera flash to work with the shutter, she was done smiling ;)
