Is it Shrek? No, it's Grandma ;)

My mom was diagnosed with breast cancer a couple of weeks ago. They caught it early, and she has a great outlook. She had surgery this week to remove the 2cm sized tumor and 2 lymph nodes. And I'm happy to report, she's doing great!

Before the surgery, they injected blue dye into her lymph nodes to see where they were and if the cancer had spread. They failed to tell her that it would make her skin go green temporarily!

These pictures are from my cell phone and just don't do it justice. Her skin matched her bedspread (not shown in this pic). Really weird. My sister warned us before we came to visit, so I told Piper Grandma may look like Shrek. That kind of freaked her out and she said she didn't want to go visit ;) But I made her. And it didn't freak her out.

Piper helped picked out flowers to take her, too :)

Max update

Max continues to do well. Thanks to loritab.
Very happy with Dr. Smith. Because of Max's heart defect, he feels safer having Max spend the night in PICU. He hasn't needed any oxygen, which is amazing (remember the 15 liters high flow he needed in May?). If we can get him drinking, we'll get to go home in the morning from the PICU. I'm not holding my breath. But he's finally sleeping in the crib without me holding him, so we're making progress :)

Surgery went great

Surgery Tomorrow

Please pray for the tornado :)
He's going in for surgery tomorrow morning.... tonsils, adenoids, tubes and a throat scope. Hoping to fix his sleep apnea and check for any reflux damage in his esophagus. They're just throwing tubes in his ears for good measure.
