So, a few years ago, I promised Piper that if her favorite YouTuber {Dan TDM} ever came to the states (he's from the UK), I'd take her to go see him. Well, he came. His first half the tour was announced and we got 3rd row floor seats, in San Francisco! (And then the second half of the tour dates were announced and he'll be coming to our home city this summer - ha - but, we'll actually be camping that weekend, so it all worked out.)
Yay for SkyMiles and free plane tickets!
We made it - the buildings are kinda tall ;)
First stop - Lunch at Carmel Pizza Co. Yum!
Next - The Wharf and Pier 39.
As stinky as the sea lions are, they certainly are fun to watch.
Entertainment all around.
And shopping - Five Nights at Freddie's hats!! Super exciting.
Dolphin horticulture.
Then a stop at Ghirardelli Square. Mmm.
And more shopping in China Town!
Magnet anyone?
Gettin' our steps in.
Crossing the Golden Gate Bridge...
We (ok, not really Piper) wanted to see the Redwoods in Muir Woods, just north of San Francisco. All the websites stated that you need to get there first thing in the morning or during the last hour that they are open to find parking. We doddled too long at the hotel, and yep, the parking was full. Street parking was available, miles down the road, but we were on a time schedule, and there was no way we would be able to hike in and back in the time we had for this little excursion. I was bummed. But, it opened up a little time to stop at nearby Muir Beach. So it wasn't too terrible ;)
Back to the Wharf and Boudin's for some dour dough. YUM-O.
Piper wants to move here.
A little boat ride out to Alcatraz and under the bridge.
Dolphin mood ring.
Windy boat selfie - nice headphones too. huh?
DAN TDM!!! at the Masonic!
And.... to top it all off, Piper got to go up on stage to take part in the show, and Dan double high-fived her!!!! She was in heaven!!! Best day of her life.
Dan asks all fans to keep the show a secret. I don't want to be 'that guy' that ruins the show for everyone else. Hope I'm not giving anything away ;) But this monumental moment in Piper's life must be documented for the home crowd!! Sorry, Dan ;)
