February Cell Dump

February snow...

Piper got a gecko. She named him Bean. He's kinda cute.

Packing for our San Diego trip... stowaway... hmmm.

School refusal. Needs a haircut. What's new?

It's been Piper's dream to play her violin at the State Capital. She finally got to perform! She was so nervous. But they did great, as always.

Her school play this year was Beauty and the Beast. She was fabulous in stage crew and got to set off several confetti canons!

Field trip to the symphony.

Going back to school after the field trip... um, no. Not even with a fry bribe. Sigh.

April Cell Dump - part 2

Scooter.... oh Scooter. Stop killing birds. At least he usually keeps them outside ;)

Twinners

New mattress for Piper. She had to test it out on the way home.

Tulip Festival 2019

We took Max a separate day. He wanted to smell every flower he could reach ;)

And he thought this ladybug was really cool.

Sign of a good outing.

My friend paints these cutest mini water colors. She had a little art show this week, so we bought a few.

April Cell Dump - Part 1

Still hanging with Max in the mornings at school. Why does he eat so well at school, but only eats 3 foods at home? Ha.

Huge storm uprooted so  many big trees around the neighborhood.

Max loves 'cooking'. Always check the oven before you turn it on ;)

The kitty loves eating cardboard. Weirdo.

And lounging in my office.

Piper loves game night.

Thought these new CBD patches would be a miracle for Max. Unfortunately, with his sensory processing disorder, he can't handle them on his skin. Even when I stick them on that one place in between his shoulder blades that he can't reach, he'll somehow rub them off. Ugh.

Piper and Steve were out of town, so I decided to take Max to a movie. He hasn't been able to sit thru one in years. He did OK for a few minutes. Then he wanted to leave. But not actually leave the theater. He wanted to explore.

When I gave him the choice of actually leaving or going back into the movie (Lego Movie #whatever is in the theaters right now), he pitched a fit. We went in and out 140 times. He finally settle down for the final 5 minutes of the movie... and then was really really mad that it was over. When I took him to the car, he refused to get in. I had taken him out of his chair, and he tried to run. So I had him pinned between myself and the car door wondering why I even try taking him out of the house. It makes me nuts. I debated about yelling to a stranger for help, but finally got him in the car with promises of fries.

Scooter... always wants my smoothie.

I'm in a book!!!!!!!
So I've been following a new way of eating. It's called the 131 Method. Chalene Johnson researched and put it together after having some health concerns of her own. I submitted my story, and they put me in the book! I'm a 'before and after'!!

Seriously, this program has changed my life. I feel soooo much better. Granted, without the program if I would have cut out sugar and processed foods, I would have felt better. But, I didn't do it on my own. This program was so motivating, and it just clicked with my brain.
It's amazing the few times I've gone on vacation, or just taken a break from cooking, etc, and gone back to eating crap for a bit - I can feel a difference immediately. I get tired. Feel like crap. Anywhoo, I love it. And I'm proud to be in the book!

One day I decided to surprise Piper with this note on the door when she came home from school.

We had a quick silly string fight in the living room.

And then she made me clean it up. Ha.

Easter...

We dyed a few fake eggs; then he proceeded to squish all the real eggs he dyed. Stinker!

Then he moved onto candy. Which he didn't used to ever eat.

Piper dyed eggs and made some Easter cookies.

Because everyone needs a big cat towel in their Easter basket, right??

Or a bubble gun.
