School

So Piper was super excited to start school this year.
Max, not quite so much.

We were an hour late the first day...

I got some CBD oil for Max this week. Hopefully it will help with some of the anxiety. In the meantime, the fry bribe has got him to school the rest of the week!

Real Golf

So Piper went out golfing to an actual golf course, not a bay at Top Golf. She went with her Uncle and cousin. Unfortunately, she hadn't eaten anything and it was about 100 degrees out, and she only had a small bottle of water, and... well, she got really sick. She texted me to come get her on about the 3rd hole ;)
I came and brought her water and a protein bar, and she felt a bit better after a couple holes. But she wasn't as excited about golf after that ;(

I'm not a hot weather person either, so I didn't blame her for not loving it.
I'll take her again after it cools off a bit.

Clonus & Tourette's

I didn't ever post about this, I don't think... Max was diagnosed with clonus last year. He had an MRI which didn't really show the why... and there's not really anything we can do about it. If it gets worse and affects his walking, we'll re-visit it.

Clonus - ever heard of it? Me neither. We call it his shaky legs. It's basically the reflex in Max's ankles not getting turned off. It's a spasm. The brain doesn't get the signal to turn off the reflex. It generally happens for Max when he is bracing his weight with his leg.

And he developed several new facial and vocal tics, which the neurologist diagnosed as Tourette's syndrome. So yeah, just add it to the challenges/uniqueness that is Max.

P.S. This will be a whole other post... but you may have noticed I'm looking a little healthier. It's true. I've changed my eating style and I feel amazing. And yes, I have lost a few pounds (32 to be exact). I'm following this amazing program. It's all knowledge - no shakes or supplements to buy. I love it!
