Buried Alive - hehe

We had a nice spring snowstorm last night. So of course, Piper wanted to go play in it first thing this morning. Max was up at 5am - ugh {ear infection? stuffy nose? reflux? constipation? who knows!}. So as soon as he went down for a nap, we headed out.

Up first, building a snowman.

Then snow angels.

Then Piper got out the shovel to dig a hole.

I asked her if she wanted to be buried. Sure!

So I buried her in all the fluffy white stuff. She loved it until snow went down her neck. Oops. Playtime over.

Par-ty

Last night we hosted a triple party:

Happy birthday Max (3 1/2 weeks early)

Happy birthday Kai (he's 4 today)

Bon Voyage Grandma (she's heading to Texas this week for a few months)

It was froggy themed. Piper helped me decorate.

We had kid friendly hot dogs for dinner and then moved on to opening the gifts.

Piper wrapped one of her toys for Max. Grandma gave both birthday boys basketball hoops. We gave Max his favorite - balls.

I used the butterfly pan from Piper's birthday and made a frog.

Kai blew out his candle...

Then we let Max try... candle schmandle... all he wanted to do was swipe some frosting.

Mmm. Cake.

The basketball hoops were a hit!

We ended up taking off the net, because Max likes to put more than just the basketball through the hoop, and the bigger balls kept getting stuck.

The we took down the balloons and had more fun.

Time for bed, but too wired to go to sleep.

Grandma spent the night. Piper was so excited that she had a hard time going to sleep as well.

This morning. All tuckered out.

Grandma Sharron

My mom is going to visit my sister, in Texas, for a few months. We are so going to miss her while she's gone.

She took a break from packing and came to hang out this week. She brought the kiddos stuffed animals. And watched Piper do sidewalk chalk & paint.

And brought these cool bubble blowers.

Max toddled while they bubbled. And then he plopped himself into the rock pile to throw rocks at my car :)

We are going to celebrate Max's birthday {a few weeks early} on Sunday before she leaves. She's been looking for a toddler-sized basketball hoop for him. Anyone know where she can find a good smaller one?
