Driving Around

Max fell asleep on the way home from therapy Tuesday. So Piper and I decided to just keep driving. She wanted to drive to Silver Lake. It was snowing in the mountains, but she didn't care. She wanted to go for a hike. Little did she know the snow was a little too deep for hiking. But we saw some interesting sights along the way.

Like this little waterfall on the side of the road.
And this little chalet (I think they had a plowed back entrance).

The sun finally came out when we got back into the valley.

And earlier in the week, we drove down to have dinner with our cousins. Zoe showing us her mad trampoline skills.

Maggie has to eat alone at the counter ;(

The Training Wheels are Back On

Grrr.

She was just too afraid. Since she got the bike for Christmas, we have been going over to the church gymnasium to practice learning to ride without training wheels. But everytime, she begged and begged to put them back on. So I finally did. She was so happy. Mommy is not. I don't know why it's such a big deal to me. I just really wanted to her to learn without them.

1st Time Sledding

After the snowstorm this week, I promised Piper that we could go sledding {we hadn't gone at all this year - it's just been too cold}.

So off we went. It was Max's first time. He loved it. As long as he was moving. He did not like waiting at the bottom of the hill to be pulled back up again. He screamed and screamed, and tried to throw his weight forward to make the sled move.

He liked his sister's sled better - of course - it's faster!
We made a quick stop at the swings before heading back to the car where the hot apple cider was waiting :)

The following day it was 64 degrees, and all the snow is now melted...
