Piper and I spent a quick weekend getaway in the Pacific Northwest. I don't know why I don't live there and/or own a sailboat.
Quick flight to Seattle, a short drive north, hop on the ferry, and we're there!
Ferry vibes.
We discovered a couple of new beaches, and visited a couple oldies but goodies. The driftwood is so beautiful.
Piper went to 'touch' the water and somehow ended up with soaking wet feet ;)
Friday Harbor - Peniel (the boat we sailed on)
Mt Baker in the distance.
Sails up!
So many ropes... maybe I don't want a sailboat. It looks pretty complicated...
I went down into the galley to get a snack. We were tipping on our side, with the water coming up to the cute little window.
Seals basking in the sun.
Mountain sheep
Nap time
I want to live on that beach.
Sea lions
We saw 8 orcas. Unfortunately, due to covid, we couldn't sail into Canadian waters, so they were too far to get good pics. But they were adorable through the binoculars ;)
Back at Friday Harbor.
What a beautiful day!!!
When snapchat thinks I jumped off the boat and swam to shore ;)
