These little beauties popped up in the front yard today!

Are these crocuses? Piper said they weren't because she couldn't hear them croaking!

Disney on Ice

We got to go see Disney on Ice this weekend courtesy of HopeKids. Thanks HopeKids!

Pre-show with Tiana (new Princess & the Frog movie) and Cinderella...Piper was in heaven.Max not as impressed.Piper wanted cotton candy. The flower hat was an added bonus that came with it.The show started with Mickey & Minnie...And then came the cars...And moved on to the Lion King... they had some pretty cool moves.Then the Little Mermaid...During the intermission Piper entertained Max with her flower hat...And then came Tinkerbell and the fairies!

Whew - lots of pictures - I was just so happy that my new camera takes a decent picture indoors and from the nosebleed seats as well!

And a video... pretty poor quality - I forgot I had changed my video setting to email quality... and the other videos I took are really shaky - Max kept grabbing the camera, but had fallen asleep by the Tinkerbell part of the show.

Cupcakes anyone?

My mom gave me some cake decorating stuff for Christmas. I decided I should practice a little before taking on the next birthday cake.

{also practicing using a watermark since it seems there are some meanies out there who have nothing better to do than steal pictures of cute kiddos and use them in their own hateful ways}

The turtles are a little creepy...but they were suppose to have tootsie roll heads and legs, not frosting blobs.
And no cupcake baking/decorating session is complete without a plate of mini's. {I forgot to take a picture of Piper's plate before she ate all the ones she decorated. But you couldn't really see the cupcakes under all the sprinkles anyway.}
Good thing Steve's brother's family is coming over this afternoon, or else I'd eat them all by myself, creepy turtles included.

Where is spring?

In hopes to get spring here, Piper made this cute 'jelly bean house' the other day. We attended the first neighborhood bbq last weekend...

in the snow.

It was sort of a birthday party, too, for our cute little neighbor, Ava, complete with a ladybug pinata.

This week marks his 6 month anniversary of heart surgery!

Grandma & Grandpa

Grandma & Grandpa came for a visit last week. Piper talked them into playing a couple of her favorite games...

Candy Land and Princess Memory.

We play Memory by turning over as many cards as needed until you find a match, then it's the next player's turn :)
