Welcome to our prison, is how we now feel when anyone comes over...
Yep, we've resorted to 2 sets of double gates to keep Max out of danger and Mommy's sanity in check...
I posted this on facebook last week "So glad today is over, or at least that Max is in bed. He got over the kitchen gate while I was outside weeding, and completely tornado'd the kitchen, including putting most of the garbage from the trash can into the fridge, dropping a jar of jam, which broke on the tile, putting it in a dish he got out of the sink, and putting it back in the fridge, while miraculously not getting cut! Luckily his newest therapist got lost on her way to our house, so I had time to clean most of it up before she arrived."
So while it's not pretty, it works for the time being. We had taken the coffee table, 2 dining chairs and a rocking chair downstairs, and had 2 chairs bunjee'd to the table. And Max STILL got over the gates using toys to stand on. So double gates it is until we get the house remodeled this fall and have a better solution ;)
He can still challenge my sanity, however, even with the new gates!
While I was in unloading the dishwasher yesterday, he emptied a brand new bottle of diaper rash powder all over the couch
(Anti-Monkey Butt Powder - worked great the first night we used it - too bad it's gone now!)...
(more crappy cell phone pics, but it's easier to grab in moments like these)

Piper asked if I was mad at him. I told her I was mad at me for leaving it in his reach ;) Cause it's really hard to get mad at this cute little face.
And who eats wheels off matchbox cars? Seriously, Max. Can't you just drive them around on the floor?! He must be part puppy.
